Welcoming patients, visitors and medical staff to the Dayton Children’s Hospital is “Momentum”, a colorful, imaginative and joyful sculpture. A young boy and girl play between three vibrantly colored pinwheels, sprouting 14 to 16 feet tall. An energetic golden retriever joins the children playing in between the pinwheels. The three bronze figures are patinaed with a rich and warm golden color, complimenting the colors of the pinwheels. At night, each pinwheel brightly illuminates the medical campus with vivid colors. “Momentum” represents hope, joy and imagination.
