Suspended within the space, “Propulsion” is an anamorphic sculpture composed of 164 individual pieces. These elements abstractly interpret the form and function of a steam turbine. The sculpture is constructed from layered acrylic and metal elements. As viewers move through the environment, the work appears as a shifting sequence of fragmented forms in motion. From a precise vantage point, the scattered components align to reveal the complete image of a turbine. This transformation shifts perception through movement and perspective. The title “Propulsion” references both the mechanics of turbine-driven energy and the broader spirit of momentum, innovation, and forward thinking that defines engineering.
